Deliveries can be made from Monday to Friday, however we can deliver large loads on a Saturday, this incurs an additional £25 charge. Typically we seek to deliver the following day and on some occasions if you have a specific requirement we may be able to make a same day delivery, always ask, we will always do our best to assist you.
All postcodes excepting BN, RH and TN will receive their delivery by pallet.
Delivery by pallet requires that the delivery address is flat, accessible for an 18 tonne vehicle and has no height, weight or width restrictions. The ground area for delivery needs to be typically concrete or tarmac, a pallet truck is not able to manoeuvre across shingle, grass, flagstones, potholes or mud. Delivery will be made to the kerbside and the driver is not required to place the pallet anywhere other than here, at his discretion he may place the loaded pallet off the road if it is deemed safe, this is however entirely at the risk of the customer and the discretion of the driver.
Please ensure that you have created enough room for the delivery and if you are not at when the delivery is made have left clear instructions as to where you require the loaded pallet to be left. Pallets are left on site with the delivery and are the customers responsibility, please recycle these in the best manner you can.
HIAB and Tipper Delivery
We are able to deliver our bags in the above postcode areas by a crane mounted vehicle or loose tipping aggregates with our 31T Tipper, minimum 10Ton/10M3. These deliveries require that the same conditions as for pallet deliveries are met, however our crane/HIAB vehicle and Tipper is smaller and therefore more manoeuvrable. The reach on the hiab vehicle is 8M.
Terms and Conditions
In these terms of Business the following conditions of sale will apply.
The Company and all references to the company will mean DFL trucking Ltd, whose registered address is 28/29 Carlton Terrace, Portslade, Brighton, East Sussex, BN41 1UR.
The Operational Centre shall mean Belmont Business Centre, Graywood Road, East Hoathly, East Sussex, BN8 6QL.
The customer shall mean any person or representative contacting ourselves on behalf of their organisation for the supply of products sold or marketed by the company.Orders are given and accepted on the understanding that liability is accepted for any loss or damage arising directly or indirectly from non-delivery or from any delay in delivery no matter how caused. If and to the extent that we have been advised of the purpose for which the goods are required, we believe all goods supplied by us to be suitable for such purpose. However, since we cannot control their application or use, no responsibility can be accepted for loss or damage arising either directly or indirectly from such application or use. Delivery to the kerbside only, if you require our driver to place your goods on your property or customer’s property we will not be liable for any damage caused.All advertised and notified prices are inclusive of VAT at the current rate of 20% and delivery charges.Delivery means, that delivery made by the company or a subcontracted haulier to the identified delivery point.
Agreement to these Terms as set out are deemed to have been accepted when an online purchase order has been placed or when a telephone order has been made and your acceptance of these terms has been confirmed.These Terms may only be changed in writing by a director of the Company.
Products and goods are supplied to both retail and domestic customers under the Sale of Goods Acts 1979 (as amended) in compliance with the Consumer Protection (distance selling) regulations 2000 as amended by S1689 2005. Business to business customers are excluded from consumer protection legislation.
Due to the nature of our products being extracted from natural sources and no processing involved, we are unable to guarantee that colours, shades and appearances will arrive exactly as depicted on this site. Certain size variation may occur as those quoted are approximate. This is remains part of our condition of sale and all customers are made fully aware of this.
All complaints should be submitted in writing within 14 days of receipt of goods. If the customer is dissatisfied with any product, then it must be returned to the Company within 14 days of the complaint being made. If the product or goods are deemed satisfactory then we reserve the right to charge for the cost of return.
All online payments must be paid at the time of purchase by credit or debit payment.
All delivered or collected products shall be at the customer’s risk either from the time of collection or the time of delivery of the products. Any damage, deterioration or loss of the product from whatever cause subsequent to the collection or delivery of the product shall be at the customer’s risk and the Company will accept no liability.
The Company will make all efforts possible to deliver the products and goods on the agreed date in a timely fashion, however if for any reason the Company is unable to meet the date, no liability for time, consequential or any other cost either in part or whole will be accepted by the Company.
No liability will be accepted by the Company for any damage caused during the course of the delivery, to persons, equipment or property.
The customer will be at all times responsible for the security and insurance of their purchase and will comply with Health and Safety Legislation.
Delivery is always conditional on access to the delivery point, local road traffic conditions and regulations and the area being safe and able to accept the delivery.
Delivery is made only to the kerbside and remains the responsibility of the customer to move it to their place of requirement on the at the delivery point.
In the event that the Company or subcontracted haulier is unable to gain access due to the delivery point access being denied by blockages, obstructions, weight, height and width limitations at the delivery point, then the Company reserves the right to charge additional costs for the return and re attempted delivery of the products. It remains at all times the customer’s responsibility to ensure the delivery point is accessible and to inform the Company if there is any reason why access may be denied to the delivery point. The Company will confirm by email the outcome of any such situation.
Should the Company deem that delivery is impossible, the Company shall reserve the right to cancel the order. This must be completed before 2.00 pm the previous day and will communicated to the customer by email. The customer should contact the Company immediately in the case of their being an access or safety issue at the delivery point.
Delivery will be made to the kerbside and it is the customers responsibility to ensure that there is a safe parking area for an 18 tonne vehicle to park in order to offload. The area should be free from hazard and in the case of pallet delivery should be level and ideally on a hard concrete or tarmac surface free from debris and vegetation. The customer shall be present or provide an appointed person to accept the product at the delivery point or clear written instructions with photographs to demonstrate the delivery point in the event of no signatory being available at the delivery point.
The customer has the right to cancel the order, but this must be made before the product has been sent for dispatch, before 2.00 pm two working days prior to the order being delivered. This must be confirmed in writing to the email address given in the contact us section of the Company’s website or by telephone call to the Company’s dispatch office, 01825 740440 between the hours of 9.00 am and 5.00 pm.
Products and goods may be returned to the Company at its Operational Centre within 14 days of delivery at the customer’s expense. The products or goods can be collected by the Company and the customer charged the cost of return only.
In the event of a delivery failure due to unforeseen issues or access problems, we will attempt to redeliver at your instruction for a charge of £25 per pallet. Any issues related to this should be confirmed by calling our dispatch office on 01825 840440.
The customers statutory rights are not affected.
Orders are unable to be amended by 2.00pm up to two working days prior dispatch. Once dispatched orders are not able to be amended.
The Company reserves the right to cancel any order placed, the amount paid to the Company will be refunded as soon as possible, the Company will confirm the cancellation by email to the address supplied on submission of the order.
The Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales and any disputes arising from these terms which cannot be settled during the course of business shall be referred to a single arbitrator in accordance with the Arbitration Act 1950 or any amendment being currently in force.
The customers statutory rights are not affected by these terms.
Purchases maybe returned within 14 days of the date of delivery, the materials must be wrapped and secured correctly in the same manner in which they were delivered. You will be charged for the return of your materials directly by the haulier tasked to collect from your address.
Should you wish to withdraw from your purchase up to a limit of 30 days after delivery and there is no error on our part we will be able to only refund the material cost and not the haulage element. The cost of return will be met by the customer, we are able to arrange collection, but payment will need to be made beforehand, the same conditions of access as described in our delivery options will need to be met.
It is very important that the conditions in delivery section are met for us to be able to make a successful delivery. This is the area of the delivery that is in the customers control so please ensure that we can make a safe and successful delivery to your location. Should we be unable to make delivery on the day due to access or safety issues our returns policy will apply.
