Slate chippings for use as decorative aggregates are a by product of the slate roof quarrying process in Wales. They are ideal for using in garden environments as decorative aggregates on borders; for enhancing rockeries;  adding an ornamental and decorative look to aquatic areas and are also a quick and economic alternative to front lawns, driveways and pathways as they require minimal maintenance. They are excellent as weed suppressants and prevent moisture from evaporating from the soil. The Black Chippings can also be used on flat and gently sloping surfaces.

Our 40mm plum slate provides a real contemporary colour setting in any garden environment and an optimum covering of the ground with individual pieces overlapping, provides maximum ground coverage.
